THIS CLASS IS ONLY FOR STUDENTS THAT SIGN UP FOR THE
SEATTLE UNIVERSITY TOURNAMENT
1. Your instructor will go over
logistics—where to go, what to do when you are at the tournament.
2. Get into your teams, identify who is 1st
and who is 2nd speaker.
3. Case Speech Show your Prop and Opp
Contentions on the topic.
4. Rebuttal Speech Practice responding to
contentions and setup a shared set of responses. Your instructor will give tips and helpful
feedback for responding effectively.
5. Summary Practice defending your
contention. Instructor
will ask you what your contention is, make 2 responses against it.
6. Final Focus Practice weighing. You’ve heard the contentions people are
presenting. Show why your/your team’s contentions are stronger and more
important than your opponents.
7. Practice doing Crossfire and Flowing.
