True or False?

A. You should not be in a room alone with a student

The answer is True—always have 3 or more people in a zoom/yaatly room. If there is an issue—contact Jim Hanson.

B. I can contact/email/message students individually

False.

In general, keep contact to what you say to the group in the class session and online comments.

You can also use the “Share It” app on the Climb pages (where everyone can see your communication).

If you do _really_ need to communicate with an individual student, ask Jim. ALWAYS keep your communication professional and about your debate work.

Get a chat from an individual student beyond a question in Zoom? Alert Jim Hanson immediately regardless of the content. Students should not be able to contact you that way.

C. You can let students out early if you are done with instruction/the debate.

False. No, you cannot do this. Parents are counting on you to be monitoring their kids. Jim Hanson and Climb are counting on you to make use of ALL the time you are given.
