Judging Platform Speeches (Persuasive, Informative or Comedic speeches)
Judging PowerPoint/Slides Speeches

During the round—Write comments during and after each speech
You can write the comments on a sheet of paper or in the Comments Form you complete after the round.
Timing the speeches—see the event description. Students must be stopped if 30 seconds over (and ranked 1 down for giving the speech too long).

During the round—be supportive of the students—treat each student with respect
and equity

Missing a Speaker?
IF A SPEAKER IS NOT THERE TO BEGIN THEIR SPEECH BY THE
END OF THE ROUND (See the schedule)—THE STUDENT FORFEITS THE ROUND. But wait until the very end of the round
before you do that.
6. Email Reply
to the ballot after all the speakers have
spoken including ranks and speaker points
