Tournaments you can participate in. Please put them into your calendar.

You don’t have to attend all of them but we would love to have you go to as many as you can. : )

Fall 2023

 

Sept 29-30 YODL First Tournament (online)

Friday 3:15 to 7:30pm, Saturday 930am to 3pm plus elims into early evening.

 

Oct 13-15 Lewis and Clark (Portland, OR)
Friday late afternoon/evening drive, Saturday all day, Sunday return in the evening.

If students are committed to doing speech events, we may leave Thursday evening.

 

Nov 5 Climb Team IPDA Tournament (online)

Sunday 9:20am to 3:45pm plus elims into early evening.

 

Nov 10-11 YODL Second Tournament (online)

Friday 3:15 to 7:30pm, Saturday 930am to 3pm plus elims into early evening.

These are the expectations last year (2022-2023) and these will be updated in early Fall for the 2023-2024 year.

--Confirm you have photo id and know that there is 1 day travel before and after these tournaments and you know you may not check-in baggage unless you have an ada reason to do so

--Confirm that you've judged or that you will judge at su elem/ms/hs tournaments before the start of the tournament. Minimums for travel are ________.

--List the tournaments you have competed at or that you will compete at before the plane travel tournament happens. Minimums for travel are _________.

--Confirm you've attended at least 2/3 of practices during the previous 2 months of debate meetings/practices (December and march don’t count)

--Concisely and briefly explain the work you have done to help others on the team

--Confirm you've been a supportive teammate and speech-debate community member

Understand that we have a limited budget and so we can only afford to send so many to plane ticket tournaments. That means not everyone that can go to plane ticket tournaments even if you meet the above standards. So, we ask and will make decisions also based on:
