Begin debate on time, flow and watch the debate as you think “what is this debater doing well and what could they improve on” and “which arguments are winning based on what reasons provided by the debaters and which arguments are shown to be most important by the debaters.”
FOURTH
AFTER THE DEBATE, DO THESE 4 THINGS IN ORDER:
1. Email Reply Winner-Points immediately
at end of debate.
--Doublecheck you
have the right names of the students.
--Submitting the online form IS NOT emailing the winner/point.
--You have to EMAIL reply to the email ballot with the winner and points.
--Emailing winner-points = things run on time. Just one late ballot really
hurts.
2. After you
EMAIL the winner points,
Verbally tell the debaters your Reason for Decision
Verbally tell each debater a Complement
Verbally tell each debater what Redo you want the student to do.
STATE THESE CONCISELY.
3. Students redo 1 minutes of their speech to improve.
